Artificial Intelligence :

A program that was truly "human" would be just as useless as a plane made in the image and likeness of a pigeon.

The expression "Artificial Intelligence" was born in the fifties by the fervid imagination of John McCarty and Marvin Minsky to indicate machines that think, and in some cases act, as human beings. Artificial Intelligence is not just an image of science fiction, but constitutes the unstoppable expansion of computer science.

The new horizons of artificial intelligence are not limited to the simulation of human behavior but define new ways to organize algorithmic systems in order to achieve intelligent behavior.
IA programs are often incorporated into systems that are not themselves classified as "Intelligent". These systems make decisions as experts in the field, identify significant configurations in complex data sets and improve their performance with learning .

The advantage of the most useful computer applications, among which there are also IA appli- cations, consists precisely in their lack of correspondence to the human example. A program that was truly "human" would be just as useless as a plane made in the image and likeness of a pigeon.

Informatics provides the principles that drive engineering, and the algorithm process and computational thinking are the air that supports the wings of thought.
